ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr. Gian Chand is an accomplished Social Work academician, researcher, and practitioner, currently serving as Associate Professor at the Department of Social Work, Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Haryana, since 2010. With PhD in Social Work from Kurukshetra University and Post Graduation in Social Work and English, he brings a multidimensional perspective to social issues and action projects. His expertise spans Human Resource Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, Human Rights, Rural Development, and Public Health. He has rich field experience through his work with CAPART and as a Medical Social Worker at AIIMS, Delhi. While working with BPSMV, as additional opportunities, he has held key additional administrative roles, including Controller of Examinations, Assistant Controller of Examinations and Head of CSUIR, worked on examinations and promoting community engagement initiatives. As a prolific scholar, he has published over forty research papers and presented widely at academic forums.
