This book begins with tracing the evolution of India's FDI policy from pre 1991 period to post LPG developments after the BOP crisis. In the study of Indian case, the book also highlights the problems and prospects of FDI in India along with the instrumental role played by FDI in economic development of India. It also explores the aspect of skewed investment patterns in FDI which is limited to certain specific sectors particularly real estate and service sector while ignoring others. Furthermore, it looks into the aspect of job growth and infrastructure development due to FDI in India.
The author argues that by formulating better policies, we can facilitate FDI to more sectors thus leading to inclusive development.
This book is lucid in its style and will be useful for students and scholars of economics, commerce and business studies. It will also be of value to those who are keen to understand FDI and underlying issues in the Indian context.

Darshana Gopa Minz, PhD, is a distinguished scholar having keen interest in business management, finance and International economics. She completed her graduation and post graduation in England and has published many papers in journals of national and international repute.
She is an avid reader and has been a key speaker in many international conferences. She has also been actively doing social service as a member of civil society to give back to the society. She teaches management at Ranchi University.
