The present work on MAN,THE SUPER HUMAN: A GLOBAL PROSPECT OF EXPOUNDING SRI AUROBINDO'S INTEGRAL VISION OF HUMANITY is a product of a long and serious research, dealing with philosophical, socio-cultural and religious experiences of Sri Aurobindo from a creative humanistic standpoint in the context of developing the universal nature of man as Super Human which relates the ideas of universality and spirituality developed by Swami Vivekananda, Rabindranath, Mahatma Gandhi, Radhakrishnan, and many other contemporary Indian thinkers. The work is very much critical, comparative and reflective in a form of modern evaluation of man and his existence from East – West perspectives.

To develop this creative and constructive philosophy of man, the entire book is divided into four chapters with several parts and Introduction, in dealing with the ideas and ideals of Sri Aurobindo as developed in the total programme of the book.

Dr. Santi Nath Chattopadhyay, LLB, PRS (Mouat Gold Medalist), Ph.D, D.Litt, is a well known writer, researcher, orator, peace thinker, and activist, with a brilliant academic career, a long and continuous research works under the University of Calcutta. Being a reputed educationist and teacher of philosophy and culture, he has served several educational institutions under Calcutta & Burdwan Universities, West Bengal, India, & finally, he was selected as reader of philosophy in 1986 and as Head of the Department of Philosophy in 1990 at Bangabasi College (Calcutta University), an Institution of National Importance, Kolkata, India and retired from the same institution on August 2003.
He is felicitated with Honor at several Institutions and organizations and received several awards like, Mouat Gold Medal from Calcutta University, 1985; Peace Award, Kolkata Peace Movement, Gorky Sadan, 2009; The Global Citizen Award, The Global Trust of India, 2010; Bharat Excellence Award with Gold Medal, New Delhi, 2006; The Creator of Culture of Peace Award, WCPA, USA, 2011; The Pinnacle Award with International Profiles for Accomplished Leaders, USA, 2011
and so on.
